The captain

Captain Chris Hardy

Captain Chris Hardy is a true Florida native with more than 35 years of experience fishing the waters of Florida. His lifelong connection to the water, combined with decades of experience in high-responsibility professions, has shaped him into a captain who understands that preparation, safety, and attention to detail are the keys to a successful day on the water.

Before dedicating his time to guiding others on the water, Captain Chris built an impressive career serving others. He is a Retired Firefighter and Paramedic, a U.S. Coast Guard Captain, a Rescue Diver, and a Commercial Pilot. Each of these professions demanded discipline, sound judgment, situational awareness, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Those experiences have carried over directly into his life as a fishing captain. Whether navigating changing weather and water conditions, finding the fish, or ensuring his guests have a safe and memorable experience, Chris approaches every trip with the same level of preparation and attention to detail that defined his professional career.

For Captain Chris, fishing isn’t simply a profession — it’s a lifelong passion. After 35 years of learning these waters, he brings an intimate knowledge of Florida’s fisheries and a genuine appreciation for being on the water. His goal is to share that experience with every guest, creating not only great fishing memories, but an experience built on safety, professionalism, and a true love for Florida’s waters.

The place

Cape Canaveral, Florida · Florida's Space Coast

Cape Canaveral is a barrier-coast town in Brevard County, where Port Canaveral opens straight onto the Atlantic and the Banana River runs behind it. Charter boats, shrimpers and cruise ships share the same channel, and the launch pads are a few miles up the shore.

The company takes its name from this coast because Cape Canaveral is its home port. Ask Chris about the departure location and timing before making travel plans.
